I am so excited to finally blog about our Tea Tree Foaming Cleanser for the eyes! We have been testing it at Oakland Vision Center Optometry for 4 months and we are a few weeks away from finishing our last allergy safety study (at an FDA approved laboratory).
This foaming cleanser is the reason I started the We Love Eyes concept. I use an eyelid foaming cleanser every night. I have terrible, annoying dry eyes and it’s the one thing that really washes away dirt, allergens and makeup residue – and makes me feel less dry the next day.
There are published studies and peer written articles on the benefits of tea tree oil for the eyelids as it is naturally anti-microbial. Combine this with my obsessive compulsion with spending my paycheck at Whole Foods – that’s exactly what I wanted! And needed!
The idea to formulate a Whole Foods friendly product with tea tree oil was planted in my brain. Months later, here we are – about to launch. I have been using the foaming cleanser every night for the past 4 months (in conjunction with the eye makeup remover oil when I wear makeup), and my personal results have been something to be proud of.
I love the smell of the tea tree and I love how it foams up. So silky smooth. So far I’ve decided to toss my regular face wash (who knew that Eucerin has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate?) and I wash my entire face and my eyes at the same time. A patient recommended it to me and I haven’t looked back since.
I hope you will try out my vegan, natural and sustainable product. For some of you, it will be the closest you get to being vegan – so good new there, lol. If you wear contact lenses, have dryness symptoms, have itchy eyes, red eyes, bumps on your eyelids, or wear eye makeup – I made this product for us.
