2016 is a few days away and I was thinking what an amazing year 2015 has been. Thank you to my amazing staff: Ramona, Nicole, Kisu, Jeni, Emily, Araceli & Dr. Khela for making my vision of Oakland Vision Center come to life. After 9 years, a few tears and some elbow grease . . . I can finally say that it is my dream practice. In July, we were crowned 1st place as America’s Finest Optical Retailer in the nation by Invision magazine, a top honor indeed. Read: amazing.
Owning a small business is challenging especially in downtown Oakland where change is happening so quickly. Thank you to our loyal patients who continue to shop local at Oakland Vision Center in spite of all the choices on the internet and big box chains. We always say that we are not looking for new patients, but rather new family members. It’s been a blast so far!
2016 will bring some upgrades in furniture, hardware and social media . . . but most importantly I want to make every day enjoyable for my staff. Let’s work smarter, not harder. Let’s smile, not frown. And if we are face palming . . . it’s because of something sharable, not regrettable.
